Class 8
I am a bit behind on progress due to the snow storm and studio closures.
However, some of my team members were able to work from home during the closures. They were able to deliver incredible progress.
First, Juliana has started working on the inter-dimensional pathway.

This is looking great, but it doesn't exactly match the reference or goals of final look development.

Here is the reference. Juliana and I spoke about these issues this morning, and she will be changing direction to better match the reference. I predict that this will move smoothly.
Next, the digital double modeler Austin, has done a great job at overcoming technical issue with hair grooming, and delivered some good progress.

This is definitely coming along, and looks just like young me. The hair needs a bit more work, which is currently underway. In addition to the hair, the face still needs work, but it's very close to passable. My only concerns lie in the rest of the body. Austin is tasked with creating the rest of the body, as well as clothes. Due to the timeline and our current standing, I am worried this will be challenging. I plan to hold a meeting with Austin and Peter (additional character modeling help/consulting) soon.
Lastly, our compositing team has continued to do a great job extracting alphas.
The following keying and roto has been done by Matt Horton.
Another compositor, Jacob Weston, has been working hard on keying my hand in one of the green screen shots. Unfortunately, he fell and received an injury this past week, so he was unable to work on the keying as much as predicted. I extended his deadline by a few days per his request. Though delivered slightly behind schedule, we now have this as a result.
