I am starting to gather my resources/assets. I have gathered old images of myself that work well enough for projection and am starting to scan these into digital pictures. I have started using a Blender plug-in that allows me to upload an image of my face, and create a head-shaped mesh that aligns with the size of my head, based on the proportions in the picture. Using this plug-in from Keen Tools, I have created a mesh of my younger self's head.

Here is the result of my first test:

Here, I have rendered the mesh of my younger self in environment lighting which will match the final environment and shot. This is close to what the final lighting will look like. Overall, I am extremely happy with the results. I think it looks realistic enough as is, and I plan to specifically light and upscale this model to make sure it looks the best it can in the final shot. I have started looking into putting together a team to help carry this model over the finish line. I will need someone to clean up the mesh, model eyeballs, eyelashes, eyebrows, hair - and the rest of the body, as well as rig the model. Once this is done, I can animate myself to move around and start rendering.

Here is the reference image:

the next steps I plan on taking will be to finish the shot list, start shooting, and continue testing and developing the models and team!
